Farai Foundation

Farai Foundation is a non-profit organisation and operates exclusively for charitable purposes to support education in Southern Africa. As a non-profit organisation, Farai Foundation is dedicated to seeing more students from disadvantaged communities access education by providing scholaships and other opportunities at both primary and secondary school level.

Msunduza Primary School

Achievements in 2013

Served 132 students.

This was our first charity event in Swaziland and was held at Msunduza Primary School in Mbabane. The event was themed 'WALK WITH ME'. With the support from Happy Valley Hotel and Casino, Swazi Beverages, Build It Mbabane, Bellcrank Engineering, UmNovu Concepts and Mbabane City Council the day was spent interacting with the pupils and cleaning the school. Various items were also donated to the school including R10 000 in cash.

Thornhill High School

Achievements in 2012

Farai Foundation handed over a Basketball Court constructed to the tune of R220 000,00.

Our first Charity Event was held in Zimbabwe on the 22nd of October 2012 at Thornhill High School. The theme of the event was 'Sport and Books'. Farai Foundation handed over a Basketball Court constructed to the tune of R220 000,00. The Old Basketball Court had been in a state of disrepair for a period of 6 Years due to lack of funds.
As Chairman of Gridbow Engineers & Technical Services, also founder of Farai Foundation and former headboy of Thornhill High School, Farai Chabata officiated at the handover ceremony of the Basketball Court which was then renamed after his daughter to be known as The Tinotenda Thandolwethu Chabata Basketball Court.
